Lars Calmfors, born on July 12, 1948, in Stockholm is a Swedish economist and professor emeritus in international economics at the [https://www.su.se/institute-for-international-economic-studies/ Institute for International Economic Studies] at Stockholm University. He has been active there since 1974 (as a professor from 1988 to 2015, deputy director from 1988 to 1995, and director from 1995 to 1997).
